This site is a personal website run by me, Zarar Siddiqi, in Toronto, Canada. I collect as little about you as I can. This page explains what that means.
What this site collects
Nothing directly. There are no accounts, no forms, no comments, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking scripts. This site does not set cookies.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes standard request data such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, so it can deliver the page and protect the site from abuse. I may see aggregate traffic numbers from this, but I don't use it to identify you. SeeCloudflare's privacy policy.
If you email me, I'll have your email address and whatever you send. I use it only to reply and to keep a record of our conversation. I don't sell it, share it, or add you to any mailing list.
Newsletter
Subscribing by email happens onSubstack, not this site. Substack'sprivacy policy applies to anything you give them. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email.
Embedded content and links
Some posts embed videos from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode. When you play one, YouTube may collect data underGoogle's privacy policy. Links to other sites (Bluesky, Substack and others) are governed by those sites' own policies.
Your rights
You can ask what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Emailzarar@zarar.dev and I'll take care of it.
Changes
If this policy changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
