About

I'm Zarar Siddiqi. Based in Toronto, Canada, and I build products and help teams build products. I've been working in the software industry since 2004 in technical, management and coaching roles. I founded Raptors Republic in 2008 (sold in 2023). Most recently, I founded Jump Comedy, an event management platform dedicated to the arts and comedy.

My specialty is product development where I take an idea from concept to market, writing most code myself.

Experience

I started as a software engineer in 2004 working in small 4-6 person boutique software firms. Later on I took technical lead and architect roles in the public sector and large private firms. This was followed by working in consulting firms leading teams of 50-200 people.

Since 2018, I've taken contract roles working with companies who want to excel at their software delivery using continuous delivery practices, safe and sound AI adoption, and great team dynamics. During this time I've delivered many software products in the non-profit and private sector.

Throughout all this, I've actively coded. I just love it.
