Elixir clusters, less infrastructure, more talking

If you know me, you know I love Elixir. The language is beautiful and LLMs are good at writing it. The bigger reason is that it takes away the need for a lot of other things you may instinctively reach for when developing serious production systems.

In this video I show how it can replace some of the infrastructure you may be used to working with, and how Elixir, Erlang and the BEAM help reduce it. The repo is here.

The demo is a five node cluster on a laptop with Docker. Nodes find each other through DNS, pub/sub runs across every server without Redis, each show gets an owner node, and near the end I kill a node and watch its work move somewhere else.
